GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — Actress Hayden Panettiere, known for her roles in “Heroes” and “Nashville,” was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at a Greenville apartment complex Sunday afternoon, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Officers and EMS personnel responded at approximately 1:51 p.m. to Judson Mill Lofts, located at 701 Easley Bridge Road, following a report of an unresponsive female. Medical assistance was administered at the scene, but Panettiere was pronounced dead.

At this time, the cause and manner of her death are unknown.

Though the reason for Panettiere’s presence in Greenville is unknown at this time, her “Nashville” co-star Charles Esten performed a leg of his Carolina Tour at The Foundry at Judson Mill on Friday night.
