Marks & Spencer recalls popular Greek yoghurt over undeclared allergy warning that could be dangerous for some shoppers
MARKS & Spencer is having to recall a popular Greek yoghurt it sells over undeclared allergy warnings.
The supermarket chain has warned that the food could be a possible health risk to customers with allergens.
It has been found that a small number of Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla pots may contain gluten, which its label does not mention.
Customers with an allergy or an intolerance to gluten, or who have coeliac disease, have been told not to eat the yoghurt and return it to an M&S store.
The recall is for the 500g pack of Authentic Greek Yoghurt with Vanilla with a use by date of May 12, 2026.
M&S has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
Notices have been put on display at points of sale and on the company’s website.
They provide information about the product recall to customers and what to do if they have bought the yoghurt.
Customers who have bought the product and are at risk of consuming it have been told by the Food Standards Agency not to eat it.
They can return it to an M&S store and get a full refund.
